There is an awesome new magazine that recently launched in Chicago – Rebellious Magazine for Women. Just a bunch of motivated ladies, frustrated by the publishing industry and their day jobs so they decided to start their own thing. Beautiful. I had the good fortune of bumping into Senior Editor Claire Bushey on the Brown line and last week she interviewed me about my upcoming event: Why It Matters That Katniss is a Girl – A discussion of Gender & The Hunger Games, Sunday May 20, 430pm, Women & Children First Bookstore.
